How much for rug cleaning/reproofing?

I just wondered what everyone pays for their rugs to be cleaned/reproofed. This year I have bundled all my rugs up, and am sending them off to be cleaned. When I told my OH it was likely to cost over £200 (repairs as well) he was totally shocked, but I pointed out that my four HW turnouts are worth that each, so £12 to get them washed and reproofed is nothing. Just wondered whether it varied much around the country, or if it was pretty much the same everywhere.

The cheapest quote I have is;

£7 - stable rug
£12 - TO rug wash and reproof

More than 10 you get a discount.

Thats what I pay and I'm in the north east

hoods - £2.50 (whether integral or separate)
wash - £8
repairs - from £2

Wow! fantastic price! I pay £12 for washing alone. If you want them reproofed as well its £17.50.And, if you want repairs doing, it's probably cheaper to buy a new rug,lol!!
