How much for son of Welton Apollo? (Alson in New Lounge)

how old is your friend's horse?
it depends totally on what his conformation, movement and jump are like. he hasn't got the trendiest sire on the planet, i bred one by Apollo and while the Welton horses are very trainable, which is a great trait, there aren't many supreme athletes among them. (someone else pointed this out, she bred about 10 from their stallions before realising this and defecting to Catherston stallions, fwiw, which she thought threw real athletes!)
so, value depends hugely on age, potential, etc.

Impossible to say from that description I'm afraid.
How old? Conformation? Jumping Ability?
Probably somewhere between 2.5K - 6K depending on how nice he is.

to be honest unless its done enough to slightly prove itself then not much more than anything else. i say this as we home bred 2 welton apollo fillies, both out of a top intermediate event mare (won 3, placed top 10 in 4 **s) and neither were particularly great offspring. one went JRN and Novice successfully and may have just about made Intermediate but unlikely - she then got a virus so we never knew - and the other was... pretty useless! very nice on the flat but zero scope, not at all brave and basically not an event horse. so what they can ask for this is probably variable as said above.

Where i work they bred a mare to Welton Ambassador, it was completely gutless and only reached pre novice.

The other has a genetic weakness in its hip. So has been retired as a hack at 7.

Sorry! haven't got a picure of him, but he is 8 years old. Friend has had him for 2 years, but not really done a lot with him. TBH she really only wants a fun hack, but like many (women coming back into riding after a long break) before her, went for a classy good looking, well bred horse. (The type you would die for as a teenager). He is a real head turner with good conformation, with 3 good paces. Carries himself well and really stands out from the crowd. (At least at unaffiliated level). Could really do with some figures if possible.

well, okay, for his age he has done very little, if she wants him to make lots of money he needs a few events under his belt really. superb horses are getting big money but more ordinary horses are going for sensible money, not fortunes. without seeing a pic of how he looks, how he jumps and moves it is impossible to say - he could be worth anything from £2k to £10k!
for an eventer, just his jumping style alone could be enough to shove his value up or down hugely.

Think we could probably say that at this time, he doesn't really jump. I believe he can, but certainly hasn't jumped anything for the past 2 years. She won't be interested in getting any more points under his belt, so she will just be selling him as he is now. I will try to get a photo, but not sure I have the ability to post it on here.

Okay, so 8yo that hasn't done a lot bar hack and unaff dressage.
I think on the assumption he is fairly sane and easy then £3500 to a RC home.
