Hi, I am going to be selling my ID/TB 4 year old mare in a couple of months and was wondering how much I should put her up for sale for.
She is 16hh grey, competed at 3 BYEH qualifiers and was just outside the top ten at the last one with clear SJ at two and good marks for Dressage and conformation. She has a laid back temperment, been xc schooled and is good in all ways, is a quick learner and even though started off more along the eventing route, would probably make a great showjumper.
I was thinking of around 5 or 6k. Any thoughts??

Thanks!!

i think you'd probably get nearer 8k if you were prepared to wait until spring, she looks like a quality horse, why are you selling?

Just because I have another youngster coming on next spring and I can't afford 2 horses. Its a shame as she is a real sweetheart but the circumstances with the other one are a bit unusual so she will have to go unfortunately!

I think you are bang on at £5-6k its coming up to winter and a 4yo with a good record but lightly competed will be attractive as can come out and go eventing next year.

I am in Lincoln. She has just had a few weeks break so am just in the process of getting her fit again and planning to just lightly compete her over the next 3 months or so, hopefully do some cubbing too then she should be fit and ready for someone to take on and start clocking up the wins!

I think you'd be giving her away at 6k. i'd give you that tommorow. I would put her at £8000-10000. i recently bought a similar sort- gelding, 4yo, broken but done nothing and paid £7000.
