Probably applicable to yard owners or those with multiple horses. Looking to do freelance work for 6-8 months. Don't want to overcharge, but also want to be appreciated for cold early mornings reliably shovelling poo!
South East based. Aiming for (and been offered) long mornings eg 5 or 6 hours. Could do afternoons sometimes but split shifts are awkward. Some exercise/lungeing. I've got my BH Stage 1 and fairly experienced. Could plait/clip although a bit rusty. Insured. Own transport needed to these yards, up to 30 mins away but normally closer. Mostly "nice" full/part livery yards.
Would like a £15/hr, wondering if I could charge a little more yard dependant, but then am aware a lot of people also seem to charge/be offered less. Would a small uplift Saturday/Sunday rate seem unreasonable? Obviously horses are 7 days a week but I still end up missing friend and family time and my own competing by not doing Monday- Friday.
Thanks for any honest replies
