My horses that are out get none.. Plenty of grass still..
My horse that is on barn rest has 10-12kg day put out and the pony 5-6kg but neither finish it all and neither really eat during the day.. Both are healthy weights..
Approx 1/2 a small bale each per 24 hours. They do have some grass and the hay is available to them all the time (hay feeder - which I top up as soon as it's getting empty).
The horses get as much haylage as they want, I find when it is colder they eat more as it keeps them warm. My ponies are restricted as usual much to their disgust.
Most of ours are still getting non, we have loads of grass. The mare and foal plus 2 poor doers are on ad lib but the 2 horses aren't eating theirs really, they are wandering off and grazing for most of the day because they have grass in their field and are being fed bucket feeds. The stallions are still getting a small amount twice a day because their paddock doesn't have a lot of grass.
