both for sale & insurance purposes?

16hh (short coupled)
Dark Bay (nearly black)
Gelding
5yo
Belgium Standardbred (fully papered, microchipped & full history known)

Was previously trained to harness but has now slowly been retrained to saddle working nicely and showing real promise over fences. Would make nice allrounder, best friend riding club type.
100% to hack, travel, clip, shoe. Kind gentle chap.

Any ideas on a price?

Not the greatest picture of him but long conformation type one i have

Knowing what nice temps these tend to have and based on the fact he is very easy to do I'd ask £4900, however givin the current market I'm not sure what you'd get.

For insurance I'd insure for £4500 to avoid th £5k bracket, but you will need to prove his worth to an insurance company.

He looks the same sort of type etc as a little 5yr old I was selling (that sadly actually had to be PTS

) but he was the same colour, age size etc, he was working at Novice level dressage, counter canter, leg yield etc and incredibly balanced. Also jumping 1m and hacked confidently on his own everywhere.

He was advertised for around £7K

blimey thats more than i was expecting!

Personally i know he needs some more flat work but more finishing off. He has been to a couple of unaff jumping shows & one hunter trial and came home with rosettes everytime (not big jumps but its a start) has popped the odd jump at 90/1m and showed a nice shape but again not been pushed at bigger fences.

Do you not think his breeding will put people off as he's "not a warmblood"
