Hi guys,

Well as most of you know i am new on here so thought i would ask for your advice again if you dont mind :p I have searched the net etc on this but unable to find what i am looking for. So what i would like to know if possible is how much would a 14.2hh 10yr old gelding Cob be up for sale for? I know that no 2 ponies are the same but just an idea of what we should expect to pay. He comes with tack, not done much the last few months but a lovely ride in the outdoor school, spooks out a bit at things like shadows etc but wont hack out alone. So what would you be willing to pay as we have never bought a pony before & its not like a car when you can check the value :D

So......10yrs old
Cob gelding
14.2hh
Lovely temprement
Tack included

Advice please :) xxx

You need to know that he is sound, so you have to ask vendor if he can be vetted, any negativity, forget it.
Best to ask someone knowledgeable to see you ride it, (you need freelance instructor for this, and will have to pay her) price is something between what the vendor wants and what you are prepared to pay and what it is worth on an open market. It is very important that you find the right pony and can offer it a good home.

Tack should be priced separately and its only worth buying if its in good condition and most importantly it must fit!

You also need to consider health, traffic, potential, suitability. Its a bit of a how long is a piece of string question really.
