I need to treat an old Ifor 505 - any idea how many litres of linseed oil it would require?
How much linseed oil do you need to treat an old ifor 505?

Not that much!
We used only a bottle on ours and rubbed it well in with an old tea towell, did it twice and it looked almost as good as new!

If it's an old 505, the board bits (sides) aren't as laminated as they are made now (which means yours shouldn't need treating) so the boards have to be treated with linseed oil. You have to rub it in with a cloth cos if you paint it on it all goes streaky and looks awful! Us old 505'ers should do it at least once a year to keep it from drying out too much.
