One of my bestest friends G, who is the same age as me has lost 3 children, 2 alone last year. To help her with her grieving her husband who isn't horsey got her a pony on loan. G loves horses and it has always been her greatest wish to have her own horse. She got Pan as an early xmas pressie in November. She has been having lessons and doing EVERYTHING right by the horse.
Today, while grooming her before a ride, Pan takes oppotunity to barge past G while she was trying to put the bridle on. She got out of her stable, then slipped on the yard. Turns out she broke her pelvis, so was PTS at 10.30 am.
It feels as if God (and Iam not religious) is reminding her that 'her things' are never meant to be kept.
How much more can 1 person who has a heart of gold take?
Poor G, I feel desperate for her.

Oh gosh, life is so unfair. This poor woman! my sincere condolonces and I really hope the future is much brighter for her and her family!

Oh the poor lady, how awful. She might not want to think about it at the moment but I do hope she gets another horse very soon. She won't replace her pony but another will give her a focus and help her move on.

:( There are times when I think the whole world is against me. Then I see a post like this and it just brings it home to me that there's always some poor person out there who's having an even worse time of it............:(:(

Poor lady. She has every sympathy I can muster, and I can only hope that things really do begin to get better for her soon.

(((((Hugs)))))

Another lady at her yard is already working on this. I, too think its better than being stuck at home, but G thinks it is a horrid idea. I guess it is very early, she is blaming herself that Pan got away.

Thankyou for everyones kind words, I will pass them on to her.

I normally like to write my own responses to these threads but ^^ this sums it up for me completely.

Big big *hugs* to your friend, my heart goes out to her, but she needs to know that it was NOT her fault that Pan got away from her, it was just a tragic accident.

I have tears in my eyes just as the thought of it 80( I can't imagine how hard it is to bounce back when life has been filled with such horrible sadness. It must take all the wind out your sails and all the hope out of your heart 80( I hope that life gets better in a multitude of ways, and that if having a horse helped her to grieve before, that she's not afraid to have another one lest it should be PTS too.

Gosh that is truly awful. Sending her via you my deepest sympathy and kindest thoughts.
Huge hugs and I sincerely hope thing start looking up for her and she has some good fortune from now on x x

I really hope she can find some morsel of strength and determination to get through the next few days. Nothing bad ever seems to happen to horrid people, does it?

May the sun come out and shine for her very soon.
