How much more will an ID/Cob 4 year old grow?

Usually IDs and crosses keep growing until 6 or 7 years even and my home bred boy had not really grown into himself until at least 8. However my cob (sire; ID cob, dam; TBxConn) only grow quite a small amount after 4, less than an inch I think..

This is my 4 yr old (just) ID x NF! He's very gangly too - but I think he is still beautiful. He is 16hh at the mo after a recent growth spurt!

I schooled on an IDxWB a few years ago, he was 4 at the time, and 17hh. He was then turned away for the winter as he was so backwards (in more ways than one). he was 18hh when he came in and grew another 2 inches before he turned 6! I'm fairly certain he's a bit on an exception, but ID to continue growing until they're 6 or 7, and cobs are much the same (even if they do grow sideways as much as up sometimes! ;))

Archie is an ID x Cob. Have had him four years now, got him on his 4th birthday. He was just about 16 hh and looking back he looked so young. He is now 8 and pushing 16.3 hh. If you would like some piccys, send me your email and I will send them that way, haven't a clue how to post piccys on here x

Oh wow, Archiesmum that sounds so like my new boy, blimey. My boy not 4 til next month but 16.1hh with this big head! He also has loads of bone. Breeder says he will be well up to 15st weight carrying but cannot speculate too much on his height as he is the mares first foal by the sireI will send you my email by PM as I am curious. Send me yours and i will add a few pics too.

God thats some growth, I had a friend who's mare was Shire x Hanovarian she put her in foal to a RID. the foal was humungeous about 13 -14 hh in a few days after birth, and went on to be over 18hands. But he was long necked and long backed as well as long legged! Mine looks short in the back and the neck, but very long legs.
