How Much? My first!

Was approached by some one who is interested in a horse of mine. As I hadn't anticipated selling I have no idea on price. Any suggestions?

Stats:

Well bred(sire and dam international jumpers) 9 year old gelding. Bay, 16.2/3 but compact. Seriously attractive with three good paces. Excellent to do and hack. Has about £50 on his card from as a 4/5 year old. Since then been lightly worked due to work/college etc. Has been doing some unaffil dressage/sj and xc. The potential customer sat on and cantered down to a 1.20 fence not a bother. Horse is genuine and careful. Healthy.

I'd be guessing but £5,000? Would be much higher if he had more competition experience. Ask what they'd be prepared to pay.

I paid £8k for one similar description but 16hh 4 months ago!

Thanks for that! I have asked them to make me an offer so we'll see. Wasn't planning on selling him so a bit confused as to the next move!
