How much of your stable does your bed cover?

All of it apart from a little square by the door. His water buckets are in water bucket shaped holes in the deep litter lol - We do take them out and scrub them daily!

Its a deep litter shavings bed, and he has both haynets and a rack, so there is usually a scattering of haylage to clear up in the morning

My stable is fully rubber matted and I have a deep shavings bed on top of it - which covers just over half of the stable with a good clear strip at the front for the water bucket and haynets.

Mine are done the same as Wiglet. And BudsMum - I want to sleep in that bed, it looks sooo comfy - will your boy mind sharing? :D

Do you mind sharing with 700kg of snoring farting coblet who uses his own poo as a pillow? ;)

I am a bed fanatic, takes me longer to bed down than it does to muck out. Then Buds comes in and stomps all over his banks so I have to re do them!! haha!!

On straw for the winter the whole stable right to the door and its a deep bed at that, on shavings i usually make it 2/3 foot gap from the front but he has rubber matts when on shavings so you could still say his whole stable is covered technically

Every inch. I have huge walls, a good thigh high on me and I am 5'8 and a really deep bed, right up to the door. He is out most of the time so I can afford to indulge. He is so messy I have to take out so much bed it is almost unbelievable.

My stable is approx 16' x 12'. My old bedding was half the stable, about a foot deep with huge banks!

My new bedding is just under half the length of the stable, the full width and about 6" deep. He is a mucky boy but doesn't tend to poo too much on his bed, so I keep the front clear because he poos there and makes a carpet out of it. I'd waste more bedding if I laid it right to the door.

I'm lucky to have a massive stable - all of which is covered in rubber mats. I do a half bed, straw with bankings. I only do half because I like her to have a clear patch to stand on. She often stands on this through the day and leaves the straw for snoozing on :)

my mare has thick bed
her son just a sprinkling on the floor
the donkey virtually no bedding
the pony no bedding as she is too messy

I do not bother making all neat and tidy and sweep back in a straight line as 5 mins of my boy in there and its trashed

Vinnie is pretty messy but I have found the bigger bed he has, the easier it is to muck out as he can't churn it up as much.

Stable is about 16 x 13- back 12 x 12 is 'proper' bed with 3ft banks and bed is over 1ft deep straw that is patted down so compact.

Then up to the door, no banks and about 1ft thick but 'fluffier' than the back if that makes sense.

Rubber matting throughout under the bed too :)

Half of a 12x12, fully matted ,obviously. Wood pellets.
