How much per mile for a transporter?

Last time I enquired I think it was £1.40 but I susoect its vastly more expensive now. Assume you pay both ways? 1 horse 3.5 ton will be fine.

I paid £2 a mile a few months ago for a return journey.

So you were just paying the one way and some one else the outward trip?

Either of those I think I'd be fairly ok with as its not a million miles.

Paid for both directions (one empty, one with horse as was being collected). Which is what I would expect as they are still taking the time to drive, and using up fuel/wear and tear.

But if you can organise a 'shared load' it would reduce price.
