How much pink is to much pink?

I hate pink on horses but each to their own and wouldnt comment face to face with someone. I am embarrassed to say all my buckets are pink as they were bought by the little girls (that like to play with the ponies) who love pink. I have a couple of purple headcollars for the same reason.

there is no such thing a too much pink!!!!!!!!!!
im a girly teenager and i swear my poor mare doesnt have a choice whether or not to like the colour pink, cause about everything i own is pink. i literally just bought a new pink broom and pink shavings fork :D xx

Tell her to go stuff herself! It's your horse, your money and the horse could not care less what colour its in. How very rude of her!
I happen to love pink. Unfortunately I now have 2 geldings so I've had to somewhat cull my perchant for pink, but I still have a pink jacket/leadrope/hat/gloves/buckets etc. And my gelding has a lovely matchy lilac set. Lifes too short to listen to people like that.

:D

:D Poor thing is a gelding too!

i cant decide wether he looks very cute or if he is being punished!

It's your money, you can buy what you like. If it's not harming your horse, who care what color you choose to buy your horse stuff in. I'm a grown woman and am making up for lost time as they didn't have anything pink when I was a kid, you had red, black, green and blue, sometimes yellow.
I've got a pink wheelbarrow, poopicker, pink buckets, pink brushes and grooming kits, saddle covers, numnahs, rugs, leads (my headcollar is leather though as I hate nylon ones) and all my hi-viz is pink. If I ever get some spare cash, I'm going to get pink riding boots made and if I ever win the Euromillions, a pink side saddle like the one I had for my Barbie as a kid :D

I must find her those sheep jammies! I have a pair of pajama pants that have nearly the same pattern!

My stable owner doesn't mind my pink obsession, so as long as I'm not hurting my mare, she doesn't care. It's just the one rude gal, who like to be the 'queen' of the barn. Yet, she is one of the most unpopular gals there. Most people tend to avoid her because of her 'tude. I try to be nice, but at some points in time, I just want to haul off and smack the poo out of her.

I'm quite the girly girl (except as of late, been feeling under the weather) and have always made sure I make myself look decent before going out in public. I've got a routine down so it only takes 30 minutes or so now.

I've got pink britches too! Now, just waiting to have enough saved for the pink Hi-Viz stuff. After that, I'm pretty sure if I get lost while hacking, it won't be hard to spot me. I think I'll be glowing! I came across a very nice show coat in pink last week. Hmm ... Think I should go for it? It would look fab with my pink britches!.:cool:

In a sea of bays, who all are wearing blue/red/green blankets (at least two horses in each color) it's hard to determine who is who, so her pink is like a homing beacon for her. See the pink? You found me!

My partner in crime, so to speak, is a die hard lime green fan. Her grey gelding looks fab in it, and he doesn't mind. It just isn't as easy to find stuff for him in lime. Pink is in abundance, so no problem there!

PF's mare, and everyone elses pink clad ponies/horses, are just adorable in pink (even the grey gelding!). My girl has a lot of white markings as she is a pinto/draft cross (and be danged if she won't roll in poo just to make those white spots go away!) but her spots are hidden when she has a blankets on.

And I think I will get a sign for her stall in bright pink. I've got a pink nameplate on my trunk (a gift), so why not her stall? Just got to find a place that sells them. Any suggestions? And what about a pink stall guard? One of those nylon ones like this: http://www.doversaddlery.com/web-stall-guard/p/X1-2711/ ( I live in the states, but don't mind shopping abroad!) I even found horseshoes in pink, but my girl is a bare-foot and I want to keep her that way.

I don't have any pics of her in her pink gear anymore. My computer that had them decided to crash, burn, and self-implode. I'll need to get some of her dressed up soon!

Snuggy hoods do them, my mares have pink.... Boys tartan

People tell me I have too much hi-viz (Yes, someone said that!! Quickly thwarted by YO, who thinks my hi-viz is ace) and others have said the same about the red!
I'm sure people are jealous of awesome matchy matchy!
If I had a grey or black mare, it would be in pink, but I have a bay gelding and his fur is so red, that pink really doesn't suit him!

I personally don't do pink, but there is absolutely no harm in it. Sounds like your mare is extremely well cared for, and that's what matters, whether she is dressed in neon yellow, sparkly purple, pink or gold is irrelevant - she won't care in the slightest and just knows she has a loving and caring owner :)

I think you should get a pink 'I love my mare in pink' sign for her stable door to wind the other livery up ;)

Yes agree - it would be easy to be snooty, i.e. 'I am a traditoinal havannah person myself' And I freely admit, I am.........but it hardly matters does it. Though if you were planning on doing a dressage test, maybe need to tone it down a bit - the old ladies (who mostly judge these things) are generally 'old school.....' but if I was judging you and your horse was on the bit and did some great passage - would I care?

We don't currently show, but I plan on doing so in the upcoming year. We're just prepping ourselves. I've got 'normal' (whatever that word means :D ) show attire set aside for us both. Her show pink is limited to a small pink crown charm hanging from her bridle.

Www.snuggyhoods.com for the pink jimjams op- they also do boots, bandages and you can get a matching neck warmer for you too!

Someone's getting new jammies!!!! :D My trunk is running out of room. Thank Horsey-Gods I have an extra trunk at home!

How silly that someone would be bothered by your colour choice! I have to admit as soon as I bought a mare I embraced the pink and bought some hi vis leg bands and other bits, oh she just looks SO CUTE! She looks like a Barbie horse... Look I didn't get a pony when I was a kid and my inner child clicked on pink and I'm cool with it! I did then become afraid of my inner child when I bought a sparkly browband, but that little demon insists on coming out when I am shopping, what can I do? Let it happen I say!

I think you should let this person borrow all your pink stuff for a day and observe them become a little bit more happy :-)
