At some point this wee mare will be up for sale, as she is just a bit much for us.
16hh 10yr old coloured mare (with breeding, nothing very special don't think), 3/4 tb type, not cobby at all. Jumps 1.30 loose (don't they all!). Competes up to 1.10, has SJAI points, around 10-15 I think. Would event with confident rider. Beautiful flatwork, established here. Good to shoe, box, clip. Hunts impeccably. Not spooky at fillers etc.
Bad points-rears when she is disagreeing and really needs someone able to ride her through it, has evented up to pre-novice, sometimes clear, a lot of the time eliminated for various reasons, doesn't like ditches, tends to jump them second time, basically not confident there with current rider.
Hacks in company, can throw rearing strops alone, again I think needs an experienced rider.
So, sellable? Any thoughts?

Sellable; but for the mares sake you must vet potential homes, don't sell her to the worng people. Be completely honest too as i'm sure you would be. I would sell her as a showjumper or dressage horse, rather than a potential eventer, if her PN record isn't great, as at 10/11 then she's not going to learn to like ditches, and most eventers need a horse that will jump ditches. How long have you had her, do you have pics? Is the rearing just because she is disagreeing, or is it a pain thing etc? Tbh you have to be careful with the price as you need to appeal to the right home, and advertise her too cheaply and you'll get novices. I reall an't give you an idea on a price as it sounds as if her rearing strops are quite often, and it's a bit dangerous. I would just say £offers over... and then decide the minimum you want for her.

I think most animals are saleable, it depends on whether its priced appropriately. The difficulty with a horse such as this one is that it sounds like you need a very experienced rider but unless you have a superstar on your hands why would anyone want the hassle, so price has to be right.

Yes, sellable. Just be honest about her.
She sounds like a nappy madam tbh, I think your easiest sale would be as a hunter, assuming she has done a fair amount already

She is both a nappy madam and has a memory like a goldfish and currently has a bad back (but is currently being investigated and would be sorted if she was for sale). This is possibly the cause of the rearing/nappiness etc. but it is kind of ingrained now I reckon.
She has only hunted a few times, but impeccably at all times, would be nearly too good to hunt though, would be selling as dressage/sj for amateurs I think?
Thanks

Wouldn't put her on there in a million years tbh..she is not that bad, a stroppy cow, but with an experienced rider (eg. her previous one-she was winning unaffil. 3"3's) is very competitive, I would say more like a dressage horse or sj horse that can throw a strop, rather than a really difficult horse if you know what I mean?
All pie in the sky o course if we can't sort her back!
