When my mare foaled at my livery yard last year no extra charges were applied, they both moved to a stud when foal was 6wks old to be with other mares and foals. At the stud I paid £14 a day until weaning - this included all hard feed, hay, coming in at night if weather was bad and daily handling. There were no 'hidden' extras at all.
