I have just been convinced to buy a new saddle so I need to sell my wow but as it is 2 years old and has lots of different stuff not sure what to charge. I have the following:
Competitor saddle in black can't remember what size seat (might be 16.5 OH thinks 17) and no idea what panels etc....will need to check before advertising obviously.
Has two sets of stirrup leathers in diff sizes (24 and 32).
Has 2 sets of flaps - jumping fix block and VSD flaps.
Leather curved girth.
Pump kit.
So what should I charge? Do wow's hold their value or not? It was hardly used first year and this year been used more but looks in great condition. Jump flaps have hardly been used at all. Would it be better to sell everything separate?
Also where shall I advertise it as a bit worried about Ebay recently due to new policy of not releasing your cash.

Any advice will be helpful as I have never sold a saddle before and OH is having to put his car buying purchase on hold until saddle is sold....feel bad about that

i think you should be looking for about £1500 for all the gear youve got.
personally id be looking at selling it seperate if you are putting it on places like ebay. but you could offer it as a package if you put it in local saddlerys.

Kallibear was looking for a WOW (see post below) and someone on here was talking about setting up a WOW swap/sale website so it might be worth googling that.

Otherwise I think you can sell it for individually as people tend to have different set-ups, but of course it is a lot more hassle trying to sell off different bits.

Yep, I am indeed.

I think I'm sorted for the size one saddle (girl advertising on ebay lives in the next street, so I'm off to look later today!).

Kalli's saddle on the other hand is being bought in bits. Got panels, hopefully, and have my eye on a seat. Just need flaps.......

No, wow saddles don't keep their value - they rarely go for more than £800 on ebay. Mainly because what each person needs is so specific I think.

Selling seperatly may make you a little more mony but will be harder to shift.

If it's any help, I'd take your spare VSD flaps (if they're black) and the pump depending on what £ you're looking for . Will PM you.

Did reply to pm but then internet crashed so will reply again later. My seat is a deep one if the other doesn't turn out to be o.k. Will prob want 300 for flaps and 40 for pump.

If it looks like I'll get very little back for the £2500ish I spent then I'll keep the saddle (OH will kill me but I'm sure even he;d prefer that than just giving it away). Plus we have probs at yard due to no tack room - can never leave a saddle for instuctor to use so have to hand over night before and then sometimes don't get back that day so can miss a days riding. If I had two saddles will solve this. Will advertise and see what comes about. The saddle fits my horse just that fitter doesn't like them. Thanks for advice though.

I just sold my Wow on the saddles direct website for my asking price (£850). It only cost me £10 to advertise it and it was gone in less than a fortnight despite a dreadful photo on the advert!
It was an older one than yours and didn't have all the extras.
I think your best bet would be to offer the saddle then sell the girth, pump and spare flaps separately. I did see a similar lot to yours go on ebay for around £1200 I think.

Thanks that sounds a bit more encouraging will check out that site. Even though mine is 2 years old - well seat and first flaps -I rarely used it for first year due to injury and menege use issues.
