I am thinking of offering diy livery at my connemara stud and was wondering how much i should charge. I did own a livery yard about 4 years ago so have lost touch with prices etc. I would have no more than 6 horses 3 in each paddock all year turn out we have 90 acres so plenty of grazing. I would also offer unlimited good quality hay in with the price. We don't have a menage yet we are hoping to build one in feb/march time but the hacking is very good, and you can ride all the way round the 90 acres. The yard is quiet very secure always someone on site and i can offer holiday livery too. We are near to Nantwich in Cheshire. So does anyone know how much i should charge? Thanks for reading

You don't mention stables so I assume non will be available. therefore I'd suggest £20 per horse per week.

we have stables, arena, all year turn out, decent hay and straw.... most of the time. and it is £28 a week for a pony and £30 a week for a horse. probs not much help.

£20pw without the hay but at least £30pw with hay and of course arena, maybe even £35pw. I'm paying £25pw with no hay and no arena - you're not near Plymouth are you, as I would jump at the chance of having an arena???

I would say that once the arena is built you could get at least £30 a week maybe up to £35. Wthout the arena perhaps £25 a week.

£30 per week.

I'm on DIY livery and pay £26 per week for stable, year round turnout, arena, indoor exercise barn (not for riding!), washing facilities, tack room/rug storage and trailer parking. Haylage and bedding not included and any assisted livery charges on top.
I think you can easily charge £30 per week and £35 when arena is done.
