hey there,

A couple of years ago we had a colt born at our yard. When he was weaned, a friend of the yard bought him and did a couple of inhand show classes with him (which he won). They have recently had him gelded and he is now for sale, he has been for a while actually but i only recently found out.

They need to sell him as they dont have the time to work with him, he has done some leading out on roads and i think he has been long reined. He isnt in the greatest condition but i know with a bit of time and feed he will be beautiful. He is a registered Connemara, currently standing at i would say 13.2hh but will grow.

They want a fair bit for him but im just wondering what you think i should offer as i think he is overpriced.

i would eventually sell him too as i am too tall but i really love connies and would like to slowly produce him as a showing/dressage or allrounder pony.

so, tell me what you think!?

A show winning connie should fetch a good price but the market is depressed so make them an offer what have you got to lose?

Looks like a potentially nice pony but dreadful advert, picture very dated and does not even show him properly, no breeding details or even a few words about what a nice nature he has. I wonder how people expect to get any interest when the ads are so badly thought out.
Probably worth about £750, although on that ad nearer to £500
