How much should I pay??

I'm looking at getting a friends 16 year old daughter to do my horse and two ponies on a weekend, muck out, turn out, change rugs etc.

How much should I pay her?, sorry but I'm really bad at knowing what the rates are and want to make sure that I'm paying her the right amount, and not underpaying her.

I pay £20 for my horse to be done for 3 days.

So £20 per day as horse and two ponies.

We pay £10 to have a 15yr old do two horses and one pony plus five hens on a Sunday, and pay her £10. It probably takes her an hour to 90 mins, but I feel its got to be worth her turning up! We also lend her a horse for the odd show too. With the last girl, when she got to 18yrs we paid her £15. It is so worth it for a day off!

Um well on a diy yard near us you can opt to have full livery for £7 a day but that is for a pro groom doing lots of horses and making a living from it.

I would pay her £25 - 30 a weekend?

I used to do the same thing when I was 14 and for doing the same sort of thing I got my diy livery free and that was £25 a week - that was nearly 20 years ago mind

I would just be careful regarding what happens should she get injured. It always makes me very nervous, especially when dealing with minors. Maybe draw up some sort of disclaimer? Or insist that she gets insurance? Money wise, I would say around £6 - 7 an hour. Or might be better to pay a set amount depending on completion of the whole job so that she gets the same amount whether she works fast or dawdles.

One of my friends is an experienced horse owner, and works as a freelance groom. She charges £10 per hour basic - more if she has to travel a long way.
