How much(SORRY!) do you pay for lessons?

Wow, I thought my RS was on the high side price wise. £40 sounds crazy though, especially as you aren't even in the London/Home Counties area. We charge £25 for an hour group or 45min private on one of our ponies. £20 for 45min group. That's in Somerset.

My old yard (in Wales) only charged £18.50 for an hour group with an AI, less if you went with one of the Working Pupils. I don't think even our FBHS charged £40 an hour.

£40 per hour for SJ/XC training
£10 per hour for flatwork

Both on our own horses using instructors' facilities

Last time i had lessons it was around £22 for 1/2 hour private, £32 for hour private. Groups were £18 an hour. When i went to Gran Canaria, i paid 20euros which is about £13 for an hour private! And 25euros which is about £16 for a 2hour hack! Cheap and cheerful.

I have just paid £20 for a 30 minute private on riding school horse and it is £25 for 45 minutes-this is in Essex.
I used to pay that for an hour on my own horse but as I am horseless and need to get back in the saddle I will pay anything for a decent lesson!

for the riding school i ride at its £16.50 for an hrs group lessons and there is 6 including me on the lesson

weve all been on the lesson together for over a year so we all get on well together

and we alternate jumping and flat work each week.

think its £18 poss £19 for 1/2hr private

(theres a £2 discount if its your own horse)
