I'm going to change my boys feed soon on to a 'simple systems' type diet. He's a 16.2 skinny TB, on ad lib haylege and turned out every day, in at night.
SS reckon I should be feeding 2.7kg daily= 900g sugar beet dry weight, which is 1 level/ just under round scoop. This seems like alot to me!
It will be split into two feeds , but I'm worried they will be too big for his tummy. This is ment to be fed with 1.8 kg of their lucibix (alfalfa); that equates to 4 heaped/ rounded scoops of alfa A.
I have looked at speedi-beet info and they suggest the same amount of beet daily, but don't say how to offer it.
How would i be best to feed this amount of food? I can't do more than 2 feeds a day.
