Hiya
I'm thinking of having a go at a BE90 in September, however I have not affiliated before and neither has my horse.
I was wondering how much it would cost to compete on a day ticket, does anyone know?
Also could anyone tell me how strenuous it is for the horse? I understand you have to do 3 events in a day but want to know how tough these events are. Also any advice would be much appreciated

Thank you!

Prices of day tickets, entries and start fees are on BE website.

As for how strenuous, 1 x dressage test + warmup, 1 x shortish 3' SJ round + warmup and about 5 minutes of max 3' XC + warmup.

Advice would be to get yourself over to a similar event and check it out for yourself.

You're looking at about £100 on a ticket to enter a BE event. Then diesel etc on top.

Your horse needs to be pretty fit - it will have to do a good onward going canter inbetween the jumps, as well as the jumping efforts, for about 4-5mins and thats after the dressage and showjumping (and warming up).

As someone said, go and watch a few events near to you so that you get a good idea of whats involved.
