Ok,I have a 4 acre field which I just don't need. It has its own access from a top gate that leads onto a small bridlepath (about 10 metres). Gate is on top of field and also gate at end of bridlepath so very secure. It has a mains automatic water trough. There is good natural hedging,but currently no buildings or shelters on it. There is a natural spring in one corner,so when it gets wet,that area (say about 3/4 acre) becomes poached and boggy but is fine this time of year.
To cut a long story short what would I charge to rent out this field monthly? Ppl would have to look after it themselves and treat it as their own...so I wouldn't be adverse to sectioning it etc.as long as I was informed.
I'm in a quiet area in south west devon with excellent quiet riding....plenty of horses about etc.
I also wouldn't be adverse to popping a mobile stable block on it...perhaps 2 stables and tack room. How much extra would that be to charge a month??
I keep ponies and grazing so good I keep them on 3 acres....this other 4 acres is literally sat there. I don't warrant getting a cut of hay as I just wouldn't use it. I've had disaster time after time with liveries,so I would like this other field to be totally separate and maintained by tenant if you know what I mean.....no hassle.
