I am looking to part-loan my horse out, 5 days a week as I am pregnant. He is 15.1, 12 years, bit of a schoolmaster and 99% bombproof on the roads, hacks alone and in company but needs a confident firm rider or he will take the p***. He is a lovely boy, jumps anything, well schooled, has hunted.
He is on a private yard with one other horse, fantastic hacking and fields to ride in with jumps BUT no school. Stabled at night in winter, out otherwise.
Do you think it is reasonable for me to ask £20 a week? Or is that too much? I would pay for insurance, feed, bedding, hay, shoes, vets etc, so that I can ensure he is kept in the way I cant. Or do you think that's too much money? I am in the North East/North Yorkshire area.

That is very reasonable, I was loaning my mare out for a while, 3 days a week... I do have better facilities and she is 100% in traffic but not a schoolmistress and is a tb so you understand lol and I asked for £20 a week

I part loan/share - 3 days a week, north yorks, he is young but well schooled, lives out all year round but in at night in winter and £25 a week. For a group hour lesson round my area it works out around £30 so I find for more days and a fabulous horse to work with and care for - £25 is nothing ! :) you don't appear to be asking too much at all and you'll find plenty of interest I would have thought.

We have an all weather arena and good hacking

at the moment with my share i am paying my part of the insurance, livery. but its a fixed monthly cost so i get no extras. i think £20/25 a week is fair tbh up here (yorkshire) theres hardly anything around and some people are willing to pay that little bit extra for a decent horse!
