How much to charge

I have been giving a teenager free lessons for the last few weeks. Her Mum now wants to pay me, how much should I charge?

Have a word with an insurance/legal bod? It's one thing giving someone a favour, but once you start charging things get a bit more complicated I think. Clearly I'm not an expert, but the legal/insurance side came straight to mind for me.

However i do hear that teenagers are rather handy for poo picking duty...

Very handy for poo-picking, cleaning tack, pulling up weeds from inside of manege all sorts really.

I pay £15 for 30 mins, this seems to be average around here as we use two diff instructors for my daughter who both charge £15 for 30 mins and £30 an hr
