It cost me two months ago £220 that was with overnite stay at the vets livery included. It depends on the size of the horse for the cost of the anasthetic
I had a colt done in February - standing, at home, at 10 months old with his mum in the barn looking on. I can't remember the exact price but I do recall that I GOT A QUOTE first - I wanted to know all the various methods as I had never been involved with the process before. So would suggest that you get a quote from your vet, and possibly one other. This does take them by surprise but why shouldn't you ask first - it is a routine operation after all.
I agree with suenroux get a quote! had mine done for about £200 and that was done at 9 months and was done under heavy sedation and he wasnt stood up. (im a wimp!)

Ive had quotes this week from 3 different vets and they range from 125 to 180, all done standing with local, around 225 for full, I have also been advised to wait until later in the year because of the risk of infection due to flies
