How much to get freeze marked?

yes it will show on grey i have two and its very visable, cost around £49, a couple of years ago, cannot quote current market price.

prices freezemark
and i think Farmkey are similar but couldn't load their site, obviously if you can get some people together the price comes down so find the contact details for your local Horsewatch coordinator who may be organising a marking session

thanks. Had my horses for over 10 years and not had them done as I live in such an isolated area but in the last few weeks there have been several knocks on the door b irish travellers (not trying to steroetypicalize!) trying to sell generators ect and have just head that horses have been going missing only a few hours from here after such visits.

Just had my bay done - 3 / 4 weeks ago with Freezemark . Price was just over £50 for one horse, with a sliding scale for additional horses. They also give an additional discount if you are an NFU member i.e. have NFU insurance policy. i think i paid £45 - there were two horses done that day.

The lady that came out was very nice, good with the horses, and has been marking in our area for years.

I chose just to have the micromark (horseshoe) done, as mine is already microchipped, but for a small additional charge you can personalise your freezemark - three letters and a number.

Had my done last weekend with Farmkey, 5 horses were done at once so it was £47 per horse. It was an extra £20 to have a personalised mark, I was too stingy to pay that!

If you've got a grey I think they hold the thingies on for longer so the hair all dies rather than just being turned white, so they have to do it one the shoulder.
