How much to install an arena

for a 20x40 weve been quoted cheapest £17k and most expensive £40k+. its a joke, so many people out there to rip you off. thank god we didnt get quotes for 25x50 which is what weve got pp passed for - it wouldve been scary.

our arena is being built in 2 weeks time and weve just managed to source a guy cheaper than the £17k
 
I think it depends on whether you can do some of the work yourself or not. Ours cost roughly £11-12k for a 20x40. We done the groundworks, put in the drainage, put up post and rail and shopped around for the surfaces. We got a guy who installs menages for a living to lay membrane and surfaces. The menage is brilliant, it never puddles and has only frozen once when we had those awful days of snow!

We invested in a good grader which I use every other week which helps maintain it well!
