How much to run a lorry

Wondering how much it would cost to keep a lorry ticking over.

I share a horse and desperate to get out and about to a few local comps and fun rides but have no transport.

Im looking into buying a cheap lorry, say about £3k.

Just thinking about cost per month/year and if there are any hidden costs that a first time lorry owner may not be aware of!

My wagon is a 7.5 tonne.

My insurance is £330.00 per year
My Breakdown Cover is £190 per year
My Tax is £180 per year
the Mot is £60.00 per year (if it passes)

These are all rough costs because i don’t have the paperwork with me to tell you exactly.

mine is 3.5t
insurance £300 incl rescue and covers anyone over 25
tax £180
MOT £60
service £120
fuel- very good. not sure MPG but it takes £80 and lasts about 5months (normally go out locally (within a 40mile) once a week.
