Wondering those who's on liveries
How much turnout are u getting atm

How ya fields coping ,
At our yd we've been ask to keep in 24/7 to save fields ( been in all wk and some weekends)
Hopefully this is temporary as usually out in day in at night depending on weather on time they go in n out
My friends rising 4yo is so bored u can do so much ( only hav a tiny indoor sch enough for lunging really n can't ride in fields)

We take each day as it comes, sometimes we decide to keep the horses in because the paddocks are far too wet & other days we put them out. Last week we've been in for a couple of days & then out for the others normally from around 7.30am to mid afternoon. There's no point moaning about it, you have to consider the whole picture & what your paddocks are going to be like later in the year |& are they going to recover.

The fields will recover fine.
Mine are at home and out 12-20hrs a day. Fields are really boggy but once we dry out and they are rolled and rested they will be fine.
Most of the yards I know are restricting turnout. Only know one local one which is still allowing 24/7 turnout.

My liveries are all out from 5am til 6pm, and the four grass liveries are still out 24/7. Yes, my fields are muddy, but there is still grass out there, and they'll recover. I'll put the horses out on the summer grazing at the end of April, then roll and re-seed the worst bits of the winter fields.

Fields recover much more easily than most people seem to think they do. Even if I didn't bother re-seeding I would still have grass next winter.

Most horses at my livery yard were in from last saturday and afew went out on thursday, friday and today most only get 4-5 hours to be honest most are waiting to come in after that. were lucky we still have grass not alot but some. we just take each day as it comes really not alot more you can do.

as only assisted diy livery on yard, only being turned out while mucked out and have been like this since xmas :(.....also cant ride as school is flooded

all other liverys are training livery and they go out full day, but we did have an agreement with ym that she would to/bi so they can also have full day out......no longer happening, so bit of a pain

Can be out 24/7 if we want a couple are but mines been in on a night since October (his choice)

There's 3 fields biggest 15 acres about, where ones out all time are is pretty wet but still got good grass cover, they've only had hay when it snowed. Very muddy round gate and the odd other patch other two fields are pretty trashed but they don't have horses in everyday and still have grass as horses are happy to go off and eat.

Out as much as we want - we have summer & winter fields, so they can recover. Half of winter field is trashed, but last few days have noticed horses heads down still at 5pm and lots of green shoots coming thru. Fields recover if they can rest.

Winter out durring the day in at night
Mine arw out usually 12 hours a day.
Summer out 24/7.
They have only stayed on twice this winter.
Nice big fields. Muddy on path up to gate and first bit of field.
But doing well.
We are really lucky.

We have turnout all day everyday. Not been restricted over winter but most horses are in at night. Sandy soil so not really any mud either :)

We take each day as it comes and if I put mine out in the morning I generally go and get them in at lunchtme. There isn't enough grass to sustain the number of horses that are on there for more than a few hours.

We have not put restricted turnout this year, so its really up to the few liveries there are at the yard. We put out if it is dry, and has been dry for a couple of days. If it has rained overnight heavily, then they stay in. Quite often in the last month or so, mine has been desperate to come in by about 10, after being put out at 7, so it hardly seems worth worrying about it. We are nearly through the winter, spring grass will be coming through soon, so all will be fine!

Just been playing it by ear. I've been flooded twice (and I'm on high ground) so my fields have suffered. Girls are going out weekdays from about 7-3ish, and in at weekends when they canbe exercised more and turned in the school. Not worried about fields recovering, if I can get though to dry weather (!!!) they'll be fine.

Just moved from a yard that was in 24/7 if it rains so that is most of the time to a yard that she is out from 8 until 5 winter field is still ok as there is only the 2 of them.

Ours are out all day everday! Go out between 7am and 8am come in between 3pm and 4pm. We are so lucky have no turnout restrictions. There is quite a bit of mud around the gateway where they stand at coming in time but generally cant complain. Have bjg field which still has grass. We strip graze through the summer and they have the whole field in the winter. Works well :)

We are very lucky, we have no restrictions! My girl is in at night at the moment only cause of the wet weather!! But hopefully she will be out 24/7 again by the end if next week! She is in a large field if 6 mares, all owners decided to bring in at night mid December when the fields got wet!
