How much will he grow?

Well I'm going to see some horses soon, and I am going to look at a 16hh 5yo gelding and I think he's a chunkier build. Ideally I am looking for something around 15.2, as I am overhorsed easily.
How much do you reckon he will grow?
I'm 5ft8 so I have the leg length, but I'm quite skinny so I am put off balance easily.

Ach who knows, geldings stop growing at about 7 years old so prob not much bigger as he is 5.

so exciting though getting a new horse congrats

I would say he's pretty much finished growing upwards and will just be filling out now. If he grows more in height st all, I doubt it will b more than about an inch.

My friend bought a 5 year old type just like you described. He was 15h3 when she bought him, he is now 16h2 8 months on - and still expected to grow another couple of inches...
