How much would I expect to pay for this kind of hunter?

A friend of mine has two mares that would both have fitted this bill on purchase - one still going strong the other has had tendon troubles but did pass a vetting when he bought. Think first one (17hh dark bay irish mare) he paid about £4k for about 5 years ago, second one (16.2hh chestnut irish mare) was £6.5k a couple of years ago - he bought both in ireland. Both jump absolutely anything including metal 5 bars, and wire (not something I would ever try but he does - nutter). He went to ireland to some farm, with his trailer, tried several, vetted the one he liked best, hucked it in trailer and drove home both times!
 
There are one or two on this board who have ridden CB stallions who fit that exaclty. Sadly if you can find one expect to pay £3,500-£4k.
 
All the horses at that place are young horses OP put she wants a made hunter, we bought a 4yo coloured from there, we tried it had it vetted etc, when we got it home we discovered it had the most horrendous buck and all this they promise a 2 week exchange/money back is a load of rubbish, they didnt stand by this one. Agree they are cheap but you get what you pay for. He is called David White that runs it, I was later told by fairly good source he buys the lower end of the market rubbish out of the sales in Ireland.

Competing elementary dressage. Brilliant for all RC activities and fantastic XC and team chasing. Snaffle mouthed. Sadly for sale as he gets stage fright in the SJ arena and owner wants to event, but super jump and will SJ for fun at home, rallies and low key events. Seriously scopey. Hacks out alone and in company. Currently shared by mother and daughter.
Good to box, shoe and clip, and a lovely boy to have around with lots of character. He will be sorely missed and if I could afford two horses he wouldn't be going anywhere!
