How much would she be worth now?

I would like some opinions on the value of my mare, as I payed pennies for her when she was an unridable, unlodable, nappy, rearing, severely undernourished bag of bones!

Now:

Perfect to load (in anything), shoe, hack, turnout (either with a group or on her own) and a dream to handle on the yard. Snaffle mouth and clean limbed.

Grade C BSJA, currently jumping 1m 10 tracks clear, currently working at Prelim level dressage with consistent mid-60 scores and lovely judges comments every time about her paces. Working at Novice level at home. Impecably behaved everywhere she travels to, always placed.

She goes clear XC up to 3 foot, jumps into and out of water without hesitation, scope to go much bigger.

She is now registered with BE and we have a season of intro and PN planned for 2008, her first event will be in April.

I know we don't have any affiliated results yet, but all other aspects couldn't be better!

She is an 11 year old bright bay belgian warmblood, 17 hands.

Don't feel I am knowledgeable enough to comment but would love to know how you went about getting her from where she was to where she is now!

She is a beauty, they sell better with no white hair whatsoever.

If you could prove her worth, by some buyer taking their time to come out and watch you doing some kind of intro type event, then up to around £8 - assuming she'd pass full vet inc xrays etc.
 
Hi, I sold my boy in summer, similar story, ex racer etc, finished out a star, fabulous horse that loved his job, great to handle etc etc, placed BE Intro and Pre-Novice and regularly won BN and Disco. I got £6k no tack. Hope this helps. x
 
i would say around 6k now if she was good enough to take out...some people may be advertsiing for more than that but to be honest they dont get it.
At 11 a lot of people do seem to believe thats "old" although it obviously isnt.
I sold my 9 year old mare who had competed up to PN was fantastic to handle/temprament etc and i got £7k tbh i think with the amount of interest i could have maybe got slightly more in respect to wot tohers were asking but at the same time it was a realistic price

Mid 60's % isn't a huge percentage to be getting in unaffiliated prelims either.

The size would put me off too - I don't know if your market would be limited because of that.

Sounds like you've done very well with her though and enjoy your eventing this year.
