How much would u pay for him?!

I agree, he seems nice but looks quite green over the fences still (understandable hes only 6) and it mentions no comp experience. So probs £5-6k

He has a stiff back over a fence and he doesnt snap up well enough in front, for me. I'm not sure about his scope..He looks like a nice looking kind and genuine sort tho.Paces are good. If his jump was within average range I would say £10k but jumping how he is, I'd say no more than £5k..

Tried a lovely horse, went back to try again with a friend who was in 3rd year of vet training. She questioned its soundness and he went mad, raced the horse on a lunge tight circle on the road ,shouting and was rough with the horse. he totally lost it. We quietly left. Very strange man.
This was a few years ago though

Gosh that seems alot of money!
I couldn't stop being drawn to his NSF, looks very pigeon toed to me but maybe just the video?

Funny but I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't look quite *right* to me but then it is just a video but taking in to above what the person above wrote probably worth bearing in mind?

Everyone has differing experiences with dealers. I for one sit wholeheartedly on the other side of the fence. I cannot recommed them enough!! I bought Arctic from them and have had another horse from them in the past. They are slightly pricey but they have alot of very nice horses.

I've seen this horse at theirs (i also go back for training), he's lovely!

Those of you that commented on the rider - i really dont see the need? Both of the girls ride to a very high level, i wish i had half of their talent!

OP - Why not go and see the horse, then you can decide for yourself?!

Good luck. N x

Madness!

He's not especially well put together or attractive, has a completely uninspiring movement, and seems on the forehand most of the time, plus there's no real reason/record for such a crazy price!

god ! thanks so much for all the response .. im having second thoughts myself!
As for newheightsSJ - im sure he's a lovely horse ect, but its slitely worried me if he's woth the money? I've seen a 16.1hh eventer 8years old for only £6,000 with rugs+tack with great bloodlines..

Well i spose it's all down to how much you personilly think your horse is worth?

Quite a plain horse for that sort of money IMO. No sparkle on the flat and average at best jumping ability going from this video. He does however appear v genuine and straightforward if thats what you're fter. I would say hed be worth no more than £5k.

I'm not saying the horse is or isnt worth that much, what im saying is if you like the look of him, go and take a look for yourself! That, or give them a call and see what the horse has done, im pretty sure their descriptions on the website are minimal, you'll probably find he's done a lot more.

I'm trying not to sound bias, but the truth is i am a little, as ive had such a good time with them.

Either way, good luck with your search!

I don't think he is worth anywhere near that! I would also say that the girl in the first video does not ride to a 'very high standard' at all.

Sounds lovely

I agree with comments above on not letting go with his back over a fence - could give you an uncomfy jump when fences get bigger. Nice chap though, but canter not smart enough for that price. I'd say £6-7k.

Am I blind? Can't see price on the advert anywhere? What's he up at?

I'm afraid I agree he looks very on his forehand and at times a bit pottery I'd also go for £5k ish

sorry

Looks like a very nice riding club horse so with no competition record I would think £5,000 would be top dollar.

I'm no expert but does seem a lot...
Also... the rider doesn't seem to give with her hands at all... especially doing the grid...

[/ QUOTE ]

Why do you feel the need to comment on the rider?

She is making a good job of riding what is obviously a green horse to a fence and through a grid. Would you want to throw away contact on a young horse? I say a young horse needs his hand holding - just my humble opinion.
