Asking this for my yard owner (as she dosent get on with computers)..

She rents the yard (with has a house but she dosent rent that aswell). Theres a couple moving in around March time and they have a 14.2hh hunting pony and obviously it would make sense for them to have this pony in the last stable. They aparently go away for 6 months of the year, winter i guess? (but not entierly sure) and my yard owner wanted to know how much you would expect to pay for full livery - without schooling for the pony (as no school) but hacking, feed, stable, turnout.

Thanks
Lucy :)

How big is the pony? Does she make her own hay? Straw bedding or shavings/other? I would probably say around £70 per week for a 13hh pony. If owners aren't around then there's no extra electric etc being used or time taken up dealing with them. Also no use of facilities such as the school. Full livery at my yard is £99 pw but that is for ad lib haylage, megzorb bedding, hard feed and all care except exercise (for 14hh plus).

Our yard is £700pcm for full but thats with good facilities (ridden in school as well as hacking) so i duno maybe £500 or a bit more?

PS. i'd imagine they go away in summer - would think it strange if they had a hunting pony but went away for the huntin season!

I charge £124pw for full livery including exercise, but not schooling as such.
Schooling livery I assume the horse/pony is problematic/needs improving and I charge £150 pw.
The horses are worked one way or another 6 days a week

Very True! We were only giving it a guess ;)

Pony is 14.2hhish aparently. We all use the same bedding so it would include that and if they do go away we'd obviously have to get whatever feed its on for them. Thanks :)
