Because i have no idea!

Someone has offered to help me out with poo-picking whilst i go to college for two weeks. It is a massive job which i dread when i get back

So i would appreciate the help!

How much would you offer? My horses are 16hh and 14hh and live out 24/7. I get roughly one and a half barrows out a day.

Thanks in advance

I give a girl in my village £5 a day to pick up a days worth of poo for 3 horses, 2 which live out in big field 24/7 and a small pony in small paddock/ stable (so involves sweeping up poo in stable as well) and putting out hay/ filling water trough as necessary. It takes her no more than a hour (I can do it all in half an hour but I have it down to a fine art!)

Working on approximately 11 barrows a week that's 22 barrows for the fortnight. It takes me about 20 minutes a barrow to poo pick so that's roughly 4 3/4 hours. It depends if the person who is helping has to travel each day especially. If she is already on the yard maybe about £30/35 for the fortnight. If she has to travel then the petrol/diesel would come into the equation.

My two do about the same as yours and I pay £3 per day to clear the field as it takes about 20 - 30 mins to do so - mine like to spread their poo so it has to be raked up first which adds to the time.
