I shall be bringing my youngster back closer to home, he will have access to as much grazing as he wants either with the 2 resident mares or on his own, I will also have a stable and have access to water from the stream, or can bath him from the mains at the house.

I shall be buying my own Hay and bedding.

How much would you think for a fair price per month

£60 a month!!!!
I pay less a month for a stable with fab facilities as well.

I don't see why you're so shocked at £60 a month. It doesn't need three exclamation marks, its a good price IMO. £60/month is £15 a week, which is fine for what the OP is getting. Obviously if you're paying less for more you ought to be aware that you're getting a really good deal...

I pay £20 a week for roughly the same other than my hay is included! The owners has a hay field ;)
So around- £12 ? I'd go for ;)

But you cannot put a price on your horses comfort and happiness!

I'm in Somerset, so not far from you.

I would expect to pay around £20 to £25 per week for standard DIY livery at a livery yard. Stable, grazing and use of a school. Hay and bedding extra.

That said, I was paying £15 p/w over the winter for use of a field - 3 acres, no running water but access to a hose or fill up from stream with buckets. No stable, storage or anything BUT that was for two horses.

I think £60 per mnth is reasonable.

I charge £80 for basic diy but clients do also have access to a school.

Hope it works out x

I charge my liveries £80 p.m. For that they get:

4.5 acres of 24/7 grazing, two barns accessible at all time, one of which has 2 loose boxes;
mains water + two streams in the pasture;
electricity;
we keep their tack in our house for them;
access to our house for loo, cuppas, comfort!
I feed, hay and rug their horses so they don't need to come every day.

Feed and haylage is extra, and shared among us pro rata.
Would like to put charges up as they've been the same for at least 7 years, but times are hard for everyone, I have lovely liveries and wouldn't want to lose them.

Where are you? Massive variance across the country so a bit pointless unless we know where you are? I am in south bucks and pay £108 for field, school, stables and a nicely run yard. I came from somewhere that had field, stable, no school, pain in the arse water supply at £80 a month so .....

Lol thought most people would suss where I was and not neccesarry to say I was in Devon!

You also need to consider how much it is worth to you? I paid well over the average at £75pm for grass livery only, nothing else not even water, but it was next to my house so very convenient and I saved money cos no travelling and my time was better spent

I'm south Devon pay £28 / week for average grazing not 24/7, stable in America, Barn style, outdoor school, indoor sand school, good facilities toilet kitchen tack room etc I would think £60 is fair ...

£25 a week. Nothing included but 24/7 turnout, stable, outdoor, hacking etc... In north west about average price.

DIY here is 40 or 44 per week :)

OP, I get what you have though we have a water trough. Big stable with electricity, huge field shared with one other gelding. As much turnout as I want and storage for everything, fields to ride in. We get our own bedding and hay. Farmer on-site 24/7 so it's very secure. I pay £20 a week for that. It may be a little steep for round here but my horse has the life of Riley and it's near the beach and 2 mins from my work.

I think I can shock you all on what I used to pay. £9.00 per day for stable and grazing but only in summer. Winter turn out very limited ( two mornings a week weather permitting) No school just hacking. Turnout/in was extra. Then they started limiting the amount of haylege your horse could have. ( but that was only the liveries, YO horses could have as much as they liked) It did include straw as well but used to get glared at if you made the bed too comfy.

Not there now am at a lovely yard and am very happy.
