How much would you pay for a
14.2, 9yr old, bay, Connemara, mare. Quirky mare, needs a confident rider when jumping (can back off from a fence), talented, not done much for her age (was broken in late), can be spooky but nothing nasty, needs a routine. Done a couple PC rallies and is jumping 80 courses.

How much I would pay, and how much you could ask for in the current market are probably 2 different things......!

Based on the limited info above I would pay no more than £2500, but in the current market possibly around the £4000 mark?

Will be intersted to see what other say.

I think you could get a bit more than £4K in the current market.
Things I think would increase the value would be LHC at 14.2(presumably you have one? Not my area of expertise!!) and whether there’s enough scope being shown jumping at 80 to progress a bit further? Is there decent enough flatwork for BE?

Defo enough talent to jump meter tracks. Flatwork is ok, defo not quite ready for be but with some work would be able to.
