Recently sold and I know how much they got for him

I expect prices here are totally different to the UK, so it will be interesting what people think.

*drum roll* PF's delectable (IMO) hubby; Remonta Habano (I know, I get a bit boring about him)

7 year-old stallion. Currently jumping 1.30-1.40 tracks. ALWAYS in the ribbons.

Remonta Habano pedigree

ETA his pedigree.

From what you have said in the past a lot less than he would have sold for here. I've no idea on price as I've never had enough money to buy something that good.

Well, i don't know much about him, but on the basis of the photo's you've posted, and the fact that he's young and still entire....i'd say USD 50,000....or GBP 25k.

I may of course be completely adrift, but i know that prices in the South of America are nowhere near as inflated as Europe.

He looks like a takented horse, but not necessarily a world-beater

as a young stallion proven as competing successfully and consistently over 1m30+ (so age height equivilents) with good breeding and from this and other photos I have seen of him generally good conformation and a good jumping technique so therefore suitable as a breeding stallion I would expect in the UK probably about £50-60k possibly more if was having success in for example Foxhunter and actual age classes. Also from what I can gather from previous posts he has a good temperament.

Another consideration is does he already have any offspring on the ground and if so what stamp of foal is he throwing i.e. in reality is he worth being kept entire as that would bring up price.

From what others are saying though prices in Argentina are probably substantially less so I would guess about the £20-30k mark?

Lovely horse. No idea on price but I would guess more than he'd go for here as I know North American prices are absolutely insane! So South is maybe the same? I dont know!

You're right in that the US market influences prices of horses jumping the higher classes so this has had an impact on Habano's price. He was actually bought by an Argie though.
Horses at a slightly lower end of the scale are much much cheaper than in the UK.

He does have babies. Apparently they're just like him and have the same technique.

The US market influences prices of the best horses, so more than that. Closer to your original estimate, in fact. Horses slightly lower down in the scale are significantly cheaper unless they happen to fit the 'hunter' type market (US, not UK)

If I give them everything in my piggy bank (dust, dead moths etc!) can I have him?
Please! I promise I look after him!

A cunning plan and one I tried to no avail!

At least I get a baby from him (fingers crossed PF takes!)

Well, he wasn't cheap

He sold for US$100,000 which I think is about £50,000, isn't it?
There's a stallion local to me, by Baloubet de Rouet, who is reputed to be for sale for US$400,000. Having actually seen him jump several times I think that is ludicrous! He's nowhere near as classy as Habano (and I'm not just saying that!
