How much would you pay for...

A 14.2 3 year old welsh part bred piebald cob gelding, good in traffic, in hand, lunges long reins and does ride and lead, hacks alone and in company, good with farrier vet and loading/travelling. Lives alone or with others.

It would depend on how long its been ridden and lunging.
Personally, for me 3 is too young for this to have been done as I prefer to back at 4yrs old.

Wouldn't pay more than £1000 as above though.

About 1k, at 3 they are young and green so definitely no more. You can buy that type rising 3 unbacked for 2-300 so not many would pay 1k as those skilled enough to bring on would also probably be capable of backing.

Is he 3 going to be 4 on 1st Jan or 2 going to be 3 1st Jan?

If the later prob a couple of £100, if the 1st then around £1000, but i'd recommend hanging on till it turns 4 and maybe taking it to a couple of shows then it will be worth more.
