Hi

I'm doing some market research into how much people expect to pay for equine professionals / services
I've tried to do a poll, but cant get it working

Please put the price (can be approximate) per appointment, estimating about an hr per session

Dentistry
Physiotherapist / Chiropractic
Massage / Shiatzu
Bit Fitter
Saddle Fitter
Instructor, AI or equivilent
Trainer
Behaviourist

Thanks, I look forward to the responces

is there such a thing as a bit fitter?

Yes, Hilary Vernon, does visits and bits horses. And Dale Myler has been in the UK this month bitting horses.
I'm an accreditated Myler bitting advisor, as well as other qualifications.

I'm basically looking into if experience levels / time to quailfy in a particular field, determins a horse owners value of that person's time. Or if its area specific: teeth, back, tack, training.

I have filled in what I can for you, I did look into the Hilary Vernon clinics last year but they were very expensive...not sure there is anyone local to me that does bit fitting?

Physiotherapist / Chiropractic -£20 (ok so he is my back man but he does a fab job)
Massage / Shiatzu - farrier also massages so in the cost of shoes
Bit Fitter
Saddle Fitter - £75 (shared call out so probably more like £100_
Instructor, AI or equivilent £15 half hour (more like 45 mins)
Trainer - RI is my trainer
Behaviourist - RI does this too!!!

in short i have multi talented people who i trust my life with and wouldn't have anyone else unless i absolutely had to.

Thanks to all who have answered

I see a gap in the market for bit fitting ....!!!

Since getting my accreditation, its something I'm looking into adding to my current services. Especially as I sell bits, and already advice online / phone. Just need to inveatigate insurance.

Its intresting the values people put on different services, esp with dentistry and chiropractic, generally getting more then a trainer

I look forward to more responces

Dentistry- £45
Physiotherapist / Chiropractic -£35
Massage / Shiatzu -
Saddle Fitter - £35
Instructor, AI or equivilent - £30 hour
Trainer -
Behaviourist - £400 (Richar Maxwell re loading)

Dentistry
Physiotherapist / Chiropractic £40
Massage / Shiatzu
Bit Fitter
Saddle Fitter £30
Instructor, AI or equivilent £20
Trainer
Behaviourist £40ph plus travel. Tends to work out as alot as they never come for just an hour and can be travelling quite a distance.

I was interested to see your comment about paying instructors less. I like to have a lesson every two weeks so couldn't afford as much as I spend on other things that are once every six months. I'd rather have a slightly cheaper instructor and see them more often than a fancy trainer and only afford once a month.

Dentistry- £30?
Physiotherapist / Chiropractic- Up to £40?
Massage / Shiatzu- No idea.
Bit Fitter- What the hell??! Nothing?!
Saddle Fitter- £25 seems reasonable
Instructor, AI or equivilent- Anything between £20-50
Trainer- Same thing?!
Behaviourist- Depends on what they are doing!
