bring your horse in each week day around lunch time?

There are 3 of us at my yard who want our horses brought in early, they are not happy out all day, there is not enough grass and left all day they just end up messing around and churning up what little we have

It will be 3 horses brought in and just put in their stables, no rugs changed or anything, just brought in.

One of the girls had someone who used to do it for £10 per week (Monday to Friday) but that groom only worked up the road.

How much realistically is a good price for both sides to be paid and expect to pay?

Thanks for any advice

Tricksy xx

we pay a pound per horse per day but the bloke lives on site so its not like he has to use petrol getting there or anything!!! is there someone who is normally at the yard around lunchtime that would be willing to do it? if the three of you gave them even a pound each every weekday then it would be an extra £60 a month in their pocket!

if someone has to come to the yard specifically i think your prob looking at £2.50 each per day at least.

There is only one girl who comes down at lunch time and she gets her one in and a pony. She just doesn't have time to do the others which is fair enough.

I was thinking £2.50 - £3.00 a horse a day, I just didn't know what the going rate was. The girl who I hope is going to do it will have to drive to the yard, approx 10-15 mins away. She is not working at the moment and said she would just do it for petrol money but thats not fair. I don't want to take advantage of her.

Thanks for the info

Does that person have to make a special journey to your yard or are they already there?

From these two replies sounds like £12.50 per week per horse would be a good payment?

I'll offer her £2.50 per horse per day, I wanted to make sure I wasn't taking advantage as she's a young girl (well 19ish and thats young to me!) and she's very sweet.

Fingers crossed she wants to do it!!
