How much would you pay

I would have thought £5/600 depending on breeding and how good the horse is on the ground. I would also want my farrier to have a good look at the horse's feet, but thats just because I'm tired of buying horses with crip feet...

He has good feet, they do need doing at the moment, but he has clean legs which can be hard to find in the ex-racers so that's a bonus. Actually, one of the things I really like about him is his feet.

Anything from £400-£600...

Lack of schooling brings it down a little IMO, as does his being underweight. But if he's sweet and capable of what you want.... anything! :)

Thanks everyone for the replies, it's definitely confirmed that what is being asked for him is too much.

Apricot - I don't think he'll be a 'superstar' really, but has loads of potential to do very well in jumping & hunting, possibly eventing. :)

Here's some pics if that helps:

Not the most flattering shots, I know.

I paid £200 for mine in similar condition. However once fed she remembered she wasn't the lamb we had started with and gained quite a big personality when she felt better.
