Hi all,

What i am asking tonight is - how much would you pay for this chap...

Weanling colt, to make 16.2 +, bay, just been halter broken at 3 and a bit months, He is out of a reg KWPN jumping stallion - who has a pretty good jumping line of horses and Dam is a TB out of Bandmaster out of a mare who is out of Bourbonton?

His conformation is pretty good - from what we can see at 3 and a bit months old, his mothers a little conformationally wrong in front but behind looks ok, she has a nice big shoulder and is pretty with a lovely soft temperment.

Father - from photo's looks to be nice sort.. built for jumping. He is now starting his jumping carreer and showing scope and talent.. but hasn't "won" anything yet.. so is yet to be proven.

The eldest of his progency is 4 and has been broken but due to a field injury has been turned away.. so he is also un proven comp wise.. but again has a lovely "soft" temp and is a strapping great lad.

So how much would you pay?

thanks in advance!

ah thats good :D
not to sure what i would pay tbh as sire is unproven-i paid next to nothing for my mare as a two year old in fact previous owner tried to give her to me as a yearling, she has no breeding to speak of but now at 5yrs old looks fantastic.
in current market i would offer half what they are asking-i like a bargain:D

Well i like a bargain too, and i am working to a VERY tight budget... (and i REALLY like this little chap..)

He has got GOOD/KNOWN breeding, who are proven... some of them being world class show jumpers ( i believe???) .. this is what makes it difficult..

I don't want to offend her, I'm going back to take another look with family and then will talk money.. but yes i don't want to offend but i also don't want to "over pay" when i'll have a good £400 going out on castration fee's and jabs almost immediately..

:)

QueenBee - lol i like that.. your lucky! Saying that, Gem was cheap and cheerful - my best horses have all been under 2.5k and my worse was 5k... funny that. :)
