Hi,
How much would you all pay for:-
15.3 10yo lightweight TB Chesnut Gelding.
Excellent manners, easy to do. Good to catch, shoe, clip, in traffic. Hacks out alone and in company. Loves attention!
Competed Sj, XC, Dressage, ODE. Regularly placed. Great fun horse but not novice ride, forward going. For sale through no fault of his own.
Price includes made to measure Albion saddle, bridle, and some rugs.

His schooling isnt fantastic and he is not in much work at the moment. He is a very sweet horse but has been ridden by a typical teenager.
He also very slightly drags his back toes.

I personaly wouldn't buy it for two reasons..teenager had it before, but more importantly, a horse should not drag its toes!

Toots, why wouldn't you have the horse because it has been ridden by a teenager?

I personally wouldn't pay more than £3k.

Because I tend to find most of them like jumping lots and going on yeehaa's with other teenage riders.
The teenager who will spend time schooling and improving a horse is a rare thing in my area. My own personal opinion, not wanting a debate, not going to have one either.

Without the toe dragging around 3k.

Maybe the same with the toe dragging but I would want it investigated to find the reason behind it.

Hows about a 16.3 TBx Gelding, 7yo good to box, shoe, catch, clip, traffic. Hacks alone and company. Done Team chasing, ODE, SJ, Dressage, hunted, well schooled. Reg placed. Beautiful horse with great temperment!

Can I just says that on this point Toots is right, he has been blasted about and jumps courses of fences at a million miles an hour!
Struggled to hold him when cantering the other day :S

I'd go for the 3k mark as well - he sounds really great. Toe dragging is more than likely laziness - and quite easily cured.

As for the 7 year old - if it's put together well - A lot! £7-8k

He has a long neck and not the best front legs but his frame changes when he works (this is the 7yo!).

I dont think the other one uses his back end properly hence the toe dragging. He is only ridden 3 days a week at the mo!

Hind toe dragging can also be a sign of a horse with sacrum problems, has he taken his toes off or re shaped his own shoes at the front from the toe dragging!
