how much would you pay for a 17hh irsh draft cross tb 7 years old,a bit skinny but nothing too bad good confomation but hasnt done anything other than hacking and has no schooling,very quiet temperament and seems good in trafic,and in the north if that makes any difference
 
I paid £1,300 for my TB with no schooling who had done nothing and he is also 7.
I wouldn't may much more than that to be honest as I personally think I probably paid too much for mine anyways.

really? he is up for a lot more than that,they say he has hunted as a youngster with a previous owner but i tend not to believe it when people say that,he seems to have a trainable attitude and is quiet
 
not really, dont think it has competed,he has been getting schooled for the last few weeks and has started to come onto a outline but is very on and off if you know what i mean, has a very bold jump, other than that i think he s just hacked about
 
If he is safe and dependable and hacks well then he is prob better schooled than you think! Add the fact that he has hunted and I think he is worth every penny of £3.5k with kit.

Are these people not to be trusted?? Why could he not have hunted as a youngster?

If they are pricing him with good quality tack and rugs - then £2,500 may be nearer the mark. However, if he proved to be a really good hunter, but has been away from the field due to current owners not hunting, then yes indeed his value could be more. A 17hh quality ID hunter with good manners is worth it's weight in gold......

im not saying he hasnt hunted he may well have,hopefully he has as thats what im looking to do with him, i think im just a bit untrusting due to past experiences of buying horses thats all.
jesterfaerie- no not mine yet,just come across him,have tryed him both in the school and hacking out and seems nice just wasnt sure on the price
