How much?

1. How much hay would you feed two miniatures on a day in winter? one is a 2.5 yr old stallion, the other 6 yr gelding. No work being done just field ornaments during the day and stable ornaments at night. The grass is plenty although obviously not as good a quality this time of year.

2. What would you feed if anything??

it depends on there weight are they good doers? if there is plenty of grass on the field i would probably only give them one or two slices each at night!

Do they live out or in?
If out...nothing if there is plenty of grass. I'd be surprised if they want any. I have 2 horse and 2 ponies out 24/7 on good grass which is on its way out and they aren't hungary for hay yet..

If in... a couple of well soaked wedges a night if they are well covered
My Welshie and mini shettie share between 3 - 4 wedges a night on very little grass. They get no hard feed.
