i'm just window shopping really- how much would you pay for a 6 year old thats evented at novice - been placed pre novice and once at novice. has also completed a 1*

had my heart set on buying a baby but now thinking that i might be able to stretch to something with experience....

a 6yo thats done a 1* and has scope to go further is worth in excess of £10k, even in this climate IMO. Obviously depends on a lot of other factors, I'm normally put off by youngsters that have done a lot through fear of wear and tear too early on, but providing horse passes through vetting, safe, nice personality, strong at all 3 phases etc will be worth in excess of £10k.

When I was looking for a horse, when the climate was stronger, a novice eventer(even if not that successful) would be £12k, but i realise things have changed now

yes , who ever said 5 - 6k - show me where it is ! I too am looking for an event horse and i have been offered ones that havent even been in a top 10 pre novice for in excess of £15k.
