Can any of you give me an idea how much the following would be worth please?

16.2hh, 13 year old, warmblood gelding, competed in all spheres (including BSJA/hunter trials), well schooled, well mannered, safe hack, price to include good quality tack and rugs. Now for the downside, horse has bone spavins in both hocks.
 
about 2k as presumably wont pass the vetting and is a litle bit older than ideal. Really would be aiming at the true "leisure" market...
 
how sound is it and do they need treatment?

If he's sound then maybe £2-3k, if he isn't particualrly and or the hocks have to have treatment, maybe a couple of hundred if you're lucky.
 
imho
i wouldnt pay more than 2k for a horse that has leg problems, due to the fact of large vet bills and the possibility of early retirement

if it was me i wouldnt go there; id much rather spend more on a horse that was going to be sound andhopefully last a bit longer
